Descriere

When her family was forced to flee Syria, 14-year-old Muzoon was told to pack only the essentials, and she chose to bring her school books. This powerful memoir tells the inspiring true story of a Syrian refugee who fought relentlessly for education, becoming one of the world's leading advocates for learning. Despite losing almost everything, Muzoon knew that education was the key to a brighter future—for herself and for her country. She began by visiting tents in the refugee camp, convincing other children—especially girls—to attend school. Her passion and determination led to her being called the "Malala of Syria."

Muzoon's journey didn’t stop there. As she grew, she became an internationally recognized advocate for refugees, education, and women's rights. She made history by becoming the youngest-ever UNICEF goodwill ambassador and the first refugee to hold that title. Her story is a testament to the power of using one's voice to create change and will inspire young readers to stand up for what they believe in.
