Descriere

Making a Spectacle traces the transformation of eyeglasses from a medieval necessity to a fashion icon. Once deemed "invariably disfiguring" by early 20th-century magazines, glasses have evolved into a stylish statement, thanks in part to the rise of sunglasses in the 1930s. This book highlights the shift from practical tools to coveted accessories, showcasing various styles—from military aviators to glamorous cat-eyes—and their role in fashion through the decades.

Featuring insights from prominent designers like Adam Selman and Kerin Rose Gold, Making a Spectacle offers a look at how eyeglasses have become a dynamic element of personal style and cutting-edge fashion.
