Berlin TV Tower, close to Alexanderplatz, is a television tower in central Berlin, Germany. Designed by Hermann Henselmann, it was constructed 1965-1969 by the administration of the German Democratic Republic. At 368.03m (1,207.45ft), it is the tallest structure in Germany and the fourth tallest in Europe. There is a visitor platform at a height of about 203m (666ft) and a revlolving restaurant in the middle of the sphere. As a symbol of Berlin and Germany, it is easily visible throughout the central and some suburban districts of Berlin.
